With this I guess being the last race of the year I was wondering if the points totals would be posted before the show? Also I remember some talk about possble prizes and such for the points winners and was curious about where that stood?

Great runs guys! I really enjoyed seeing everyones cars. I was unable to build a KOTH car this year but did participate in the SS class. It was something else being down at the catch box with those 12 ounce cars speeding towards me! They sounded like little jet engines running down the track! I am really looking foward to next year!

Your king of the hill race has brought inspiration to our little monthly racing group here in Evansville IN. At our last race for the year in November (we are taking the winter off just like the NASCAR boys) we are going to have our own king of the hill race. The rules are very simple. It must be gravity powered only and it must fit through the starting block in one lane. That's it. The rest is completely up to your ingenuity. I'm going with a Lexan base and rear FTE's off of two...

Just wondering if we are having all the other classes of racing in Durham or just the superstock and KOTH? I know at the last few events racing has pretty much taken all day and that was w/out these two events.We really enjoy racing but If not that will be fine with us as it will give us some time to do other things such as check out the other cars and customs,shop and mingle a little more. Also have the points and banned casting list been updated? Thanks!

Looking for rules

As I posted earlier some of my buddies and I are racing Hot Wheels. Thiings are still going great. But I was wondering if it would be possable to get a set of classes and rules that others use. W are thinking about different classes and was wondering what others might be running. Ie weight restrictions. car types and so on. If anyone has something they acan cut and paste it wuld be most appreciated. Thank you in advance for whatever you might send.

OK here's the deal. My brother went to a birthday party at a coworkers house for a 5 y/o boy. They had that four lane store bought track set up for the boys to race their favorite hot wheels. My brother had talked the other dads into bringing a car or two to race that day. that has turned into monthly get togethers where we race modified hot wheels for pinks. was thinking that there could be a end of the year event. take all the first place winners and race against each other at the end of the year race. Limit it to one entry per person. This way if you don't make every show you still have a chance to get into the end of year event. You have to race the car that you won with at the end of the year. Sort of a king of downhill racing in the club.

The following Rule changes are going into effect as of January 1, 2009......

Mainline and Kid's Classes

Mainline will continue to be defined primarily as mainline castings appearing in 1995 to Present (NO Classics, Hot Ones, Ultra Hots, Pro Circuits, or Redlines)

Current releases of the: Race Aces, Connect Cars, Military Rod, Cop Rod, Fire Rod, Birthday/Holiday cars ARE allowed. NO Funny Car...
